Web Publishing System

How can I tell if an RMIT web page is part of the RMIT Web Publishing System?

The RMIT web site is comprised of many web-facing systems. The main corporate website includes the RMIT home page, school home pages and most organisational information. These pages are published through the RMIT Web Publishing System.

Some RMIT websites are published through different means. They may be part of a legacy system not yet migrated to the main corporate website, or web applications that are, by necessity, published through other channels. Examples include the Learning Hub, staff and student webmail, Employee Self Service.

To identify whether a page is part of the Web Publishing System:

  • The URL shown in your browser address bar will begin with http://www.rmit.edu.au or http://prodedit.rmit.edu.au.
  • The page footer (bottom of page) will include a link to ‘Information about this document and its content’, as well as publishing details (Uploaded, Edited, Authorised), with dates and names by each.
