The RMIT Science Experience is a fun three days of science, engineering and technology activities for students entering Year 10. Students experience university life first hand by attending lectures and taking part in practical laboratory sessions. The program aims to allow students interested in science to experience a wide range of fascinating science activities in a fun and interactive way under the guidance of scientists.
Chemistry Tasters for VCE Students

The Victorian Institute for Chemical Sciences (VICS) is co-located on four metropolitan University campuses; the RMIT University (City campus), Monash University (Clayton), Monash University (VCP Parkville) and University of Melbourne (Parkville).
VICS outreach activities show students a mixture of new research, fundamental chemical principles and the chemistry of everyday life. Chemistry taster activities for VCE students are held on the campuses of RMIT, Melbourne and Monash universities, and in schools throughout Victoria each February.

Medical Laboratory Visits for VCE Students

Ever wondered what happens after you have a blood test or other medical tests? Where your blood goes, how it is examined and a diagnosis is made? RMIT with medical diagnostic and research laboratories throughout Melbourne and Regional Victoria give interested VCE students the chance to go behind the scenes and find out first hand what happens. Students can see the inner workings of laboratories at the Royal Children's Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill Hospital and the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Regional centres also allowing students to visit include Bendigo Hospital, Dorevitch Pathology at Hamilton Base Hospital, Goulbourn Valley Health in Shepparton and Gippsland Pathology Service at Latrobe Regional Hospital Traralgon.

RMIT University's annual Experience Engineering program offers Year 10, 11 and 12 students the opportunity to participate in a series of interactive workshops organised at the city campus.
This event is to welcome all students who are thinking about studying Engineering. Participants will take part in four practical hands-on engineering activities focusing on the power of high voltage, digital movie technology, irobots and radio bugs.

Engineering week at RMIT begins a busy campaign aimed at increasing the awareness engineers have on our world. Potential students are exposed to a wide range of promotional activities and information session aimed at encouraging students to focus on a career in one of the many varied disciplines within engineering.
The College's four engineering Schools present individual and group prizes to those students who have achieved academic excellence and contributed to the university life of their fellow students through leadership, initiative and engineering outlook.
Current RMIT students are recognized for their academic excellence and contribution to engineering at RMIT's annual Engineering Prize Ceremony. Achievements are recognized and awarded by industry representatives.
